The town of Seč is situated about 16 km south-west of Chrudim. It lies in the very centre of the Iron Mountains/Železné hory, at the edge of the Bohemian-Moravian Highlands. The elevation of the square is 532 metres above sea level, while the highest point is 532 metres above sea level. The surface of the dam lake is normally 495 m above sea level.
Seč and its surroundings belong to the largest and most popular recreational areas in the Pardubice Region. Situated at the edge of this region, they neighbour with the Vysočina Region and the Central Bohemia Region.
This area lies in the middle of the picturesque countryside with preserved woods, rocks, streams, some valuable reserves, and educational paths. In the surroundings there are lots of interesting historic buildings and sights, some chateaux, castles and ruins of castles, an open-air museum, look-out towers, and various recreational and sports facilities.
Come and spend your holiday on the banks of the Seč dam lake! You can choose from bathing either in the lake or in swimming pools, sunbathing, diving, fishing, surfing, sailing, cycling, etc. The deep woods are cut with numerous paths, cross-country skiing tracks, hippo-tracks, tourist and educational paths.
Down-slope skiing facilities are available not far from Seč.
There are numerous kinds of accommodation available here: cabins, hotels, bungallows, boarding houses,chalets, hostels. Private accommodation is also possible. Holidaymakers can park their caravans or put up tents in the caravan sites and campsites. The numerous catering facilities include restaurants, pubs, taverns, fast-food stands and pizzerias.

Caravan Site Seč / The Beach The Beach Campsite is situated about 1 km from the centre of Seč. The Reception is open 24/7 during the top season. Both the campsite and the beach have a neat grass surface.

The Services of Tourist and Information Centre The TIC offers the inhabitants and visitors of the town of Seč free information about the cultural and sports events, hippo-tracks, cyclo-tracks.
